Maybe it’s you
Fellow is seeking a talented, driven and passionate graphic designer or art director with design skills to help out this summer. Candidate must be willing to learn and work hard. Weirdos are welcome, but funky attitudes are not. Please send a link or pdf of your work to info@fellowinc.com.
Arrivals and departures
We like words at Fellow. We also like it when they’re put to good use in a sequential order around the Minneapolis St. Paul International airport (concourse G). Our latest ads for commercial law firm Nylan Johnson Lewis will be up for a few more weeks, so if you find yourself getting ready for takeoff; pause a moment and read some words.
Brink at the helm
So proud. Fellow is honored to have the famous and fabulous broadcast producer Judy Brink in our presence. She is flying the ship on the TV production of our latest branding campaign. So swift and so sure she flies.
Fellow makes news
Have a look around town for our most recent work. Fellow collaborated with Kerri Miller and our friends Zachary Keenan and Luke Taylor from Minnesota Public Radio to get the word out about their new interactive mid-morning news program, The Daily Circuit. Stop back for a look at more from the campaign in a few.
Site is a go
Sound the bugles. Fire the cannons. Launch the balloon. The Fellow site is live. Stay awhile. Send a friend.
Season’s greetings from Fellow
Look who stopped by to spread some holiday cheer. What a wonderful thing love is.
Fellow is in the salon biz
Bespoke Hair Artisans tasked Fellow with branding their new salon. We like hairdos at Fellow, so we were glad to help.
View WorkFellow is in the candle biz
Madonna loves ’em. Colin Farrell loves ’em. And now Fellow loves ’em. We’re talking about Illume brand candles and home fragrances. We are super excited to work on the redesign of the Illume website. They make the best candles in the world right here in Minnesota. Now we need to design the world’s best website.
View WorkNow serving the best coffee in the world
Direct from the grower. Perfectly roasted in Northeast Minneapolis. Dogwood coffee is insanely good, and now we are lucky enough to serve our guests Dogwood every day. Stop by their coffee bar in Uptown or enjoy a cup next time you drop by Fellow. Bring half & half.
South of Franklin Curiosity Coordinates Project
Look out SoHo, NoHo and DUMBO. South of Franklin in MPLS is where it’s at. With the help of photographer Chapin Stitt, we set out to capture the curiosities that populate the burgeoning borough we call SOFRA. T-shirts coming soon.
Deeper Look
This guy is bona fide
His “I’m stuck in a phone” self-portrait told us he was the man for us. Chapin Stitt joined Fellow as our summer intern. Now he’s a bona fide graphic designer. When you see him, say hello.
Fellow is in the museum biz
The Minnesota Children’s Museum asked us to help concept a new brand campaign touting the benefits of play in a child’s development. We like kids. We like play. Sounds like fun.
Fellow is in the iPhone biz
Canopy is an amazing company that develops iPhone sleeves that don’t just sit there, they do something. You can control apps, turn your phone into a point-and-shoot camera and even lock it into a tripod. We were asked to name, brand and introduce Canopy to the world.
View WorkOne-dollar record review
Our friends at Treehouse Records offer a smorgasbord of great records in their dollar bin. We like to spin a lesser-known artist and give our non-professional opinion of the LP. Then we see what kind of profit we can turn by selling it on eBay.
Fellow is in the skateboard biz
Shaun White Supply Co. needed some help with packaging design for a new line of BMX and skateboarding gear. We’re pretty extreme here at Fellow; they must have known that. Look for the work soon.
Vacant sign at 26th & Aldrich
One thing stands in the way of a complete corner reinvention at the historic corner of 26th and Aldrich: a beckoning neon Fellow sign. In the meantime, we can restore the old gas station sign that stands naked to its original glory. We can only dream. Deeper Look
Fellow is in the beer biz
South Africa is best known for great white sharks, Nelson Mandela and the buffalo weaver, but now you can add ZA beer to the list. Amara Imports enlisted Fellow to design the label on its latest import. ZA, named after the South African country code, will soon be the only African beer on the shelves in Minnesota liquor stores.
Semi-Cool Design
We love trucker tunes at Fellow. You have to check out Dave Dudley’s version of “How Fast Them Trucks Can Go.” All the trucker talk got us looking at 18-wheelers and hanging our hands out the window to take shots of shipping industry logos. Deeper Look
Learnings & such
Around the New Year, The Minneapolis Egotist asked Fellow about what we’ve learned this last year. Will Gunderson, a good friend of Fellow, helped us make these chewy bits. Deeper Look
Here we are
The door is painted. The lights are on. Fellow headquarters is open for business. We turned a dumpy space between a Brazilian dance studio and a vintage wedding gown shop into the less dumpy space we call home. Stop by, especially if you have some vintage records and a bottle of Templeton Rye whiskey.
